George Washingmachine Quartet + Ingrid James

Event Description

Join George Washingmachine and his band in the basement for the Doo-Bop first year Anniversary!

Doo-Bop opened its doors to Brisbane in June 2017. Since then, the venue has been buzzing with jazz audiences, local, interstate and international musicians as well as lovers of music from across the globe.
We’re tapping our feet with excitement, ready to celebrate our first amazing year of the very best of jazz and soul on the Brisbane music scene. To mark the occasion, Doo-Bop is hosting 12 hours of live jazz, non-stop, on Friday 22nd June 2018. That’s one hour for each month of the year!

George is a violin virtuoso, multi-instrumentalist, singer and a consummate entertainer who knows how to wash away the cares and woes of everyday living with his performances. He has worked in television, theatre & film. He finds the greatest pleasure though in travelling around Australia and various parts of the world playing music and making art.
